How to change clip speed directly in media pool?

Main Post:

I have a bunch of drone clips shot in slow motion, but I need to use them at normal speed in my project.

I know how to change the speed when the clip is already in the timeline.

The thing is, I need to change the speed directly in the media pool, before adding it to the timeline, because I need to trim short sections of each clip and time them with the soundtrack in the timeline.

Top Comment: Right click, clip attributes, change framerate

Virgin Media speed limiting torrents WITH a VPN?

Main Post:

The only VPN interface that isn't capped is Wireguard. TCP/UDP are giving me 50KB/s and I have a 350mbps line. start Wireguard or turn off the UDP/TCP VPN and I max out. VM say they don't cap/speed limit you but it's obvious they are. what can I do? I have an Archer C7 V5 in router mode whilst my SH3 is in modem mode. NOT using VM's DNS. what the hell is going on?

Top Comment:

I had this exact problem last year, VM Tech support were no help whatsoever because I used modem mode, and of course as soon as you put it in router mode it goes away.

What i found in the end was using VPN over TCP instead of UDP stopped the problem from happening.

Virgin media slow download speeds and horrible customer support.

Main Post:

Hello I am a customer of virgin media’s 100MB/s download speed wifi plan, however I have never had over 1.3MB/s of download speed ever since I have started this plan 2 years ago, I can’t even get through to customer support I was placed on hold on their line for over a hour and 15 minutes and when someone picked up I said hello and they ended the call, if this is normal for others and you are looking for a virgin media review stay well away don’t give these guys anymore money their download speeds and customer service is horrendous!

Why don't you try using the webchat through the app? Beats the queue and it's partially automatic

Posting to social media where speed cameras are.

Main Post:

Seriously, why are you doing everyone a disservice? If you think your friends need to know this information, it implies they speed. In that case, they should -absolutely- be ticketed.

The solution is simple: do. the. speed. limit!

Top Comment:

Speed Camera locations can be found online on the police WA website generally up to a week in advance.

Posting it to Social media is just spreading information.

I don't think there is anything wrong with posting it to social media.

Windows video media player that DOESN'T suck?

Main Post:

Does anybody have recommendation for software on Windows (10, 64-bit) that can play through a playlist of video files at 2x speed without resetting to normal speed between videos? Seems like that would be simple enough feature to include in a basic, barebones video player--and yet, neither GOM Player, VLC Media Player, nor Windows Media Player (lol) support this (seemingly trivial) feature as far as I can tell/determine, or otherwise allow to set defaults such that it would carry through across videos. Sigh.

How much upload speed do you need to share Plex library remotely?

Main Post: How much upload speed do you need to share Plex library remotely?

It all comes down to the bitrate of your files (and how many people are streaming). If you have two people direct playing your 3GB 1080p files, and assuming the movies are ~110 minutes each, that's an average bitrate of ~4 Mbps per movie, so two of them would require an upload speed of ~8 Mbps on average. However, most media has a variable bitrate (static scenes/scenes with less detail will have a lower bitrate, but fast-paced action scenes with a lot of detail will go way above the average bitrate) so that number can spike 2-3x, so 16-24 Mbps would be a safer number.

If both friends are streaming 15GB 4K files at the same time, that averages out to 18-19 Mbps, so you'd need 36-38Mbps minimum, and 70-100 to be extra safe.
